Please help queen not laying eggs
My Formica queen has laid her first batch of workers and they can now walk around but for the last two weeks she has not been laying any more eggs. I hope this does not mean she is going to die

This is common with Formica, she probably wont lay more eggs until next spring.AntsWisconsin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:41 pmMy Formica queen has laid her first batch of workers and they can now walk around but for the last two weeks she has not been laying any more eggs. Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

You don't need to feed them at all, just make sure they have water.AntsWisconsin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:51 pmalso will i need to feed them during hibernation and if so should i feed them more or less

what should i do for hibernation
When my ant colony hibernates should I leave them in my house, put them in my garage, or put them in a mini fridge at a special temp?
