Caught a fertile queen but...

Last 3 days my family including me follow my father that have convention and airplane flight. We stay in a homestay for the first night and I woke up the next day just to find wingless queen ant below the couch I slept on. I was so excited until I found out that she have the same mites that almost killed of the colony golden empire.

I dont know how to remove the mites and I dont want her to suffer longer so I put her to sleep in one slap.

Maybe I did the wrong move?

I don't think you could have saved her, so don't feel bad.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
