Any advice for starting a colony in OR

Any advice for starting a colony in OR

I have always wanted to start an ant colony and have tried to catch queens in nuptial flights before. I just ordered some AC test tubes and can't wait to try and start a colony. Any tips for catching queens and starting a colony in the Willamette Valley area?

I would check out some ant colonies in your areas get an ID in the ID sub forum, and using that info catch queens. Let me know what you see! ;)
