Hi all , I've only started in the hobby .I recently purchased some test tubes and set them up for queen's . I live just outside Dublin in Ireland and on the 13th of July I was lucky enough to capture 16 lasius niger queen's they are all in the test tubes in a dark box in my bedroom . My question is when should I first start to check on them ?

Probably after about 2 weeks. And if you haven't already you should give them an extremely small drop of sugar water.
Hope this helps! ;)
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
