Can ants escape using the gap between the AC large tubing and small tubing?

Can ants escape using the gap between the AC large tubing and small tubing?

I’ve connected an AC vinyl tubing large with a small one and it looks like ants could possibly escape from the gap. The website says that they fit securely but I just want confirmation? My ants are Formica fusca.

They shouldn’t be able to escape, but if you are concerned you can watch some workers investigate it. Happy anting! ;)
