Hey, at least the replied with in 6 months. It is still Camponotus americanus which is good, or you might have a problem with the USDA. If you were actually mad, you can report him to the USDA I think. Quite honestly, no one who does not have knowledge on shipping ants and permits should ship ants.

I'm pretty sure they knew it was illegal because when I explicitly asked if this was a queen from NJ he said yes.

Do you know the proper channel to report this to the USDA?

I think I should also try to kick in venmo protection. Either it's not sansabeanus and the person lied about the ant, or it is sansabeanus and I should euthanize it.
