Hybrid nest 2.0 mould question

Sorry to bother you guys but just a quick question. I have had my colony in my formica hybrid nest 2.0 since the start of June and I choose to use cotton balls as my medium and I was wondering how long does it last before I have to replace it and if so how can I do it without disturbing my colony? As well as what medium will last the longest before it needs to be replaced.

I think when you see significant amount of mold on the cotton, you should replace it. I have heard coco fiber doesn't mold easily so you should use that
