First of, hello all
I’m looking for tips regarding Diacamma Rugosum. What kind of setup should i use, is it ok to keep the formicarium and the outworld separate, how to control and observe the temperature inside the nest as well as the humidity ( I know how to do it in the outworld I’m curious about the nest), what kind of food ( heard they are pretty specific about it)
Diacamma rugosum keeping and other inquiries

Re: Diacamma rugosum keeping and other inquiries
They are gamergates and can reach a size of 100-200 members. You probably would need a second or even third colony or get more reproductives since they keep replacing their queens. It's also to avoid incest within those colonies. I would say, they are very difficult to keep due to them being gamergates.
They eat and drink honeywater, insects like flies and fruits like grapes.

Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
