Help unsafe amount of mold in testube
What is the best and safest way to transfer this queen and her brood? About 80-90% of the cotton is covered in mold.
As always, wishing you well on your exciting ant adventure, Ants the Lowcountry.

Re: Help unsafe amount of mold in testube
1 attach new tube and old tube together with tape
2 prick small air holes in tape
3 make sure they can't get stuck in tape
4 make new tube dark and old tube light
5 set the setup on an incline so that the new tube is lower than the old one (like set it half on a book)
5 shine a light (if needed) on the old tube, but be careful you don't fry them
they will move themselves. Never move your queens manually

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
