Re: Lasius flavus how long to establish?
I currently own a lasius Flavus test tube with about 5 workers and a few pupae and eggs. I have an ant tower set up and waiting for them, however I have some concerns. My family travels a lot because of work and we will most likely move to the USA in six or so months. I am wondering if this will be...

Re: 2 year old colony has PRINCESS ANTS, Help!!
I am having this same issue! I actually came to the forums in search of this exact question. I have a year-old colony of crematogaster cerasi. I noticed 2 yesterday, and was only able to capture 1. Today, I've noticed at least 4-6 more. It would be extremely difficult to catch them from my setup. A...

Re: Bill P.'s Camponotus Herculeanus (Dark Morph) Journey & Journal
Initial Post 5/6/22 The time had come...after countless hours of lost sleep watching YouTube, reading blogs, surfing websites and just plain being too anal about stupid things, I've pulled the trigger. My first nest and out world are ordered from Wakooshi (see pic); my Queen w/5-9 workers is ordere...

Re: Ant ID help please - South Florida, USA | caught March 2022
Okay so I Caught these queen ants (3 of them) at the beginning of March 2022 in South Florida . They are roughly 7-8mm long. Other visual or behavioural characteristics: - The worker ants shake their butts ALOT (idk why?) - During the nuptial flight, I find dozens floating in my pool (hence how I c...

Re: Carpenter ants
The ants are camponotus pennsylvanicus. In regards to the meal worms should I cut them into smaller pieces or put them in whole and alive? Are you saying that I should only feed them once a week not everyday? Thanks for your help. Debbie Actually, no need to worry! I have a fully visible Camponotus...

She died of toxicity :( That's so sad. Reminded me of the tim...
