Fluon is its own compound, you don’t combine it with anything.

Is there nowhere nearby that you can buy test tubes? Any local craft store should have them. Or can you order off of amazon?

Like TheRealAntMan said, they move them up there to warm them up. The warmer insects are, the faster their body processes go, this includes pupae development.

I don't know how to measure a queen ant so I can help people identify my ant.

Usually you want the queen in a test tube, so that you can place a ruler underneath or on the side of the test tube and line it up when the queen is oriented the right way.

I would recommend anytime after it rains. I’ve had great luck with finding queen ants everywhere after it rains, especially early morning.
