Yes the eggs, larvae and pupae will need to be looked after by either the queen, nanitics or workers. They clean the eggs, make sure they are stored in the right location (temperature, humidity) and feed the larvae protein from their social stomachs. part of the problem is that i'm kinda keeping her in a cupboard right now, where it should be quiet. so i'm guessing the 'better' option right now would be a heating mat.

Pocket Warmers??
I have been testing out the effects of pocket warmers on ants for a while, trying to find a source of heat which i can provide for them as winter is coming. Would a pocket warmer cook them? Or is it a good temperature?

that's an awesome idea!! i'm not really a master of tape-facing-outwards, so i ended up putting cotton on the stick side of the tape and taping it around the connector so that the cotton can fill the space as needed.
