if you actually look at the near the queen at the biggest larvae it looks about the same size of the pupae which means you could have a major comming soon

Re: What is your queen catching methodology?

The way i like to find queens are to study nests that i know are getting ready to fly, then once i see a nest fly i will often wait 10-15 min so i don't get a high chance of getting un fertile queens, thats how i look.

Re: What are these tiny worms?

Ive seen something similar like this with plant seeds in my nest of anonychromyrma, where they would grow the seeds for harvest, they shouldn't do it unless they thort it was a safe way to have a renewable source of food.

Re: Hitch3’s Camponotus Consobrinus Journal

Answering the question from last week, most if not all camponotus spp hibernate so hybernation which should be in a few weeks time so prepare somewhere cool for them like a storehouse or fridge around 10-15 degrees celsius. And also i just subbed to your YT channel looks good to btw. :D

I would say only catch them if there are native to your area, argintine ants are the worlds largest super-colony meaning they are invasive to the intire world. If you want to keep them do not let them go out in the wild put them in the freezer as its the most human thing to do. Now i find the queens...
