Re: Venomous Ants of Saudi Arabia

They're probably having a nuptial flight which is why they're very active. I'm currently trying to ID them right now.
It would also be helpful if you have any images of them. Capturing and photographing workers, drones, and alates is a good idea.

Re: Idea for Camponotus formicarium -- will this work?

First of all, I don't think there's any need to think of formicarium ideas yet. Once you catch your queen, it will still take probably a year before they'll need a formicarium. Oh, thanks. I thought that they normally die after mating. Do you know what species is it?
How big is it, and did you get any pictures from the side? I'm just gonna guess Solenopsis from the color but I have no idea how big it is.

Re: New to ants - UK

Sure! You'd probably want ants that like arid climates though, especially if you're going to use sand.

Re: Queen wont lay eggs

What species is she? You seemed to have gotten her pretty late. She should've already started hibernating around the middle of the month, and she should be taken out in March. If you can include some more pictures so I can ID and observe, it would help. Again I have no idea what the species is, so I...

She could've been ill or just disturbed too much.

Re: Camponotus Subbertus

It's impossible that she ate her own workers.
