I released an ant colony but 2 workers stayed behind.

I feel really bad for them because they were looking in the test tube for the colony. I’m gonna give them a happy life with plenty of food, sugars and everything they deserve. I’m gonna stay with them until they die.

Those queens are infertil!
The sp. im almost sure is solenopsis fugax they have their nupcial flyght, were all the queens mate, later this year!
You unfortunatly just killed a bunch of queens...
How do you know that they are not mated?
