I would strongly recommend taking the test tube and putting it in a dark space, like a closet and leaving her there. Try to check up on her as little as you can. I usually go 5 days to a week. If you disturb the queen to much there is a risk of her getting stressed out and eating her eggs.

Sometimes ants don't break off their wings when they establish their claustral chambers. Wait until she lays eggs. If the eggs she lays are gathered together or she is guarding them, she is a 99.99% she is fertilized. If she never lays eggs or the eggs are carelessly placed around the test tube she ...

Tetramorium in Northern states?
I've been going out after rainstorms but I haven't been able to find any queens other than Camponotus. Has anyone else been able to find any Tetramorium?

I'm almost positive that it is, however since I don't live in the Philippines i'm not 100% sure.

I found a Camponotus queen on the 27th of May, and it laid eggs. I was wondering if they are still flying so I can catch more?
