What is the general area I'd find a long horn crazy ant I've read they are tropical but can be found inside up here, is this true or will I be able to find a colony outside and take some queens and workers? Thank you

I have a worker ant found in new Hampshire, its colony was in Sandy soil in a rarley used driveway, I have found the queen but I have put her in a formicarium with 100 workers without taking pictures of her.
