Re: Monomorium Queen?
The place I put her in is about 75* and isn't disturbed much. It's under the kitchen sink. If she is fertile, about how long undisturbed will it take for her to lay eggs and or drop her wings? Can I check on her in a day or two to see if she's ok?

All dead. But now I got a Nylanderia queen! She has wings, but shows signs of being fertile. Not using her wings. Was abandoned walking on the pavement etc.CreeperUniverse wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2017 3:15 pmYou too Mikey!

Monomorium Queen?
So, besides the 4 parasites I got, I DID find one small queen alate running on the pavement. She has wings but never used them and was alone walking around. So, I'm hoping she's fertile. Looks a bit different to the T. Sessile queen I got a few days ago that died. The long gåster makes me think it's...

That spike is called the petiolar scale, and all ants from Formicinae have one. A friend of mine in NJ, MrILoveTheAnts says it looks so. I'm gonna try gett...
