Its more likely that there is a problem with your outworld barrier or tube connections. What barrier are you using? Im sure if your omni is actually letting the ants escape then AC will get in contact with you, I'm using vaseline. But it is definetly the omni nest. The ants are also finding ways to...

Okay, I was going to suggest the same thing as antnest, but normaly they'd do this to the test tube, it's more common with smaller species. I have an omni test, and instead of moving in, the ants have begun loading the tube connecting the nest to the outworld with trash. They have put in sand and loose bug remains in the tube and have constructed a fairly decent little pile in there. Why are they doing this instead of moving in?

This may seem paranoid but I checked on my very first queen pavement ants today they had eggs! I was super happy to see that but one of their test tube rolled about 90 degrees in the box it is in.
