Cool facts about ant species
So after my B. depilis queen died, I looked further into her species. Turns out, she could not only share a nest with my tetramorium, but farm aphids as well! Me & the family are going on a vacation soon. We go once a year to Myrtle Beach South Carolina from Virginia. Its about a six hour drive. I was planning to do some ant hunting while the rest of the fam swim in the ocean & such. I remember reading its against the law to mail ants across state lines ...

So I go in my room to check on my queens, and I look at my Bracymyrmex queen, she appears dead. I take her out of her tube, look at her, she's dead. RIP Bchymyrmex sp., I knew you only a couple of days.
