From my knowledge Acromyrmex Versicolor need to forage for leaves, food and plant matter. This should make your chances of finding a queen substantionally higher.

Research has found that female alates will usually remove their wings after seperation from their colony. This doesnt always occur but is common.

Well there are actually two species that I dream about having. First off Myrmecia sp. which Is somewhat achievable and the seconds is Cephalotes sp. which because im in a whole different continent becomes quite tricky.

a We are going to need much clearer pictures of the whole body to get accurate identifications but the red one looks like it could be Pheidole sp. but thats just a guess. The last picture seems to be a male alate, possibly also Pheidole sp. Much appreciated :) The small ones being males makes sense...
