Research has found that female alates will usually remove their wings after seperation from their colony. This doesnt always occur but is common.

Well there are actually two species that I dream about having. First off Myrmecia sp. which Is somewhat achievable and the seconds is Cephalotes sp. which because im in a whole different continent becomes quite tricky.

a We are going to need much clearer pictures of the whole body to get accurate identifications but the red one looks like it could be Pheidole sp. but thats just a guess.
