Hibernation time
Hallo all I have some questions about hibernation, i have Lasius Niger and were wandering when and how long they need to hibernate. When i look at the ants outside they are mostly gone so i guess they have started their hibernation but, my ants have it nice and warm and have access to plenty of food...

I have Lasius niger 5 colonies, one of them cant handle honey they get stuck in it the other never have problems, so i think it is good advice keeping the drops smaller then their bodies that way they can get free i think.

There are some Protein in it according to the contents but the weird thing is brown sugar have the highest contents

All 5 collonies are now 10+ workers and have a lot of brood . I have tried to training them to stand in columns to make counting easier but it is not working

Try putting something light tight over the test tube to make it dark and cozy, maybe that will make here go back home
