Definitely. Its 5mm long, (measured after posting) but nothing I can do about better pics at the moment sorry. Looking for weeks and 4 in 2 days... the odds huh? can't help with this one, i'm trying to identify a similar genus/species.

i'd say it's a species iridomyrmex but i'm not to sure. From my experience with a iridomyrmex bicknelli they like it a little dry and are a great beginner species in my opinion.

hmm, you could try get them to move back into the test tube if you are super worried but i say just leave them for now. tbh i'm not to knowledgeable in pheidole Queens either. But with looking at pictures of Queens on the internet, they all seem to have a few more nodes attaching her gaster to her thorax. the smaller one looks to be Iridomyrmex bicknelli. the larger 2 i'm not exactly sure, but if i were to guess they would be part of the Iridomyrmex genus possibly iridomyrmex purpureus. do you know how long they are?
