Re: Adding wild workers to my argentine colony
Try with 1 or 2, then add more from the same area if they don't fight. Is there a queen? Yes hey have a queen but today I coincidentally fought a argentine queen walking along an ant trail and I noticed that she and a couple workers I caught were larger than the ones in my colony so I think the fir...

Adding wild workers to my argentine colony
I have a colony that I think is argentine with 6 workers and a few eggs. I heard that argentine ants from different colonies don't fight so i was wondering if i could add wild workers to their colony.

Re: All my workers died!
I didn't feed them any proteins because I was told that the ant nectar had every thing they needed. Is there anything else that might be a problem and is it OK to feed a queen small insect parts? Also, I still don't know what to do with the queen.

Re: Looking for some one who knows about Linepithema humile(argentine)
First of all, Thanks for all the info, and sorry I couldn't respond for a week.
And second, I knew they were a hard species but I didn't realize they were so hard to keep.

Looking for some one who knows about Linepithema humile(argentine)
I am thinking about getting an argentine colony but I heard they don't do nuptial flights and instead the colony splits so they are harder to catch. Is there any one who has any experience with catching and raising this species.
