Often small colonies go through periods when they don't need much. Just give them time and they should be fine.

Hmm, it does sound like CCD, I always thought it only happened to bees. The answer to your question depends on what your goal is: try to save the colony (2), learn more about this (1), or clean out your supplies and hope for another queen this year (3)? Personally, I would go for the second option, ...

I must confess I have no experience with Brazilian ants and little with ants at all, but in general the process from egg to adult takes 1 to 2 months, yours will probably be on the longer side, though, because this species is very big. I agree with idahoantgirl, your relationship to your parents is much more important than keeping a queen, but if you can convince them to let you keep her, do it. I had this problem recently, my mom wouldn't let me keep a queen I found, but after showing her that all it is for the first month or two...
