Hi, so I caught my first Camponotus Pennsylvanicus queen on the 27th as it was the first warm day here in Maine---- Still finding males around! BUT- I know that C. If your talking about the gel than no it won’t work. They are not suitable for ant colonies to live in. The reason they don’t come with queens/suggest putting queens in there is two fold. 1 the queen will probably not start a colony in one of them and if she does they probably won’t survive. If you...

Thank you VERY much! I have been trying to ID this for 2 years! As for laying eggs, however, I don't think she will be laying anytime soon as I have her all safe in a test tube for a few weeks now without eggs, I think this is possible due to the fact that the end of her gaster is kind of squished/p...
