Not sure. Maybe straws? Honestly, AC tubing is already pretty cheap. I sometimes use straws.

Fed them a tiny drop of honey today. As expected, they loved it. For some reason though, the workers are sleeping a ton.

Probably shouldnt give the ants too much space. Theyll store garbage in their nst and it will mold, and it will be difficult to clean up. Probably should use an ant tower instead, and maybe put in some soil creatures?

Feed them honey or crushed mealworms? Im also currently keeping a RIFA colony in its beginning stages, with one worker.

Yeah. I personally dislike too fast growing colonies. Slower ones are more fun for me, since the beginning stages last longer.

Eight? Dang, I have five living together. Hopefully, they don’t fight once workers arrive. I have two spare test tubes, but I’m hoping to see if I can catch any more queens this year.
