Maybe you can just take groups of three containers and make little sections with tubes connecting them? that way water will slow nicely and it might be easier to clean it if say one section gets really dirty.

Basically I was watching different ant species near my yard, and low and behold found these 2 as well as maybe 5 more that I left behind. I only have the two cause I don't want the colony to collapse. I wanna say they are between 1-2 mm? I caught em today, October 29th, which is strange. Then again ...

So I've recently got some queens and am hopeful they are fertile. What I'm looking for is cheap raw materials. I've heard pumice is good as well as cork. Lasius claviger , a social parasite of other Lasius .
