Looking good. Is there a major of sorts now?
I believe I have 3 you can see in the last post the brown coloured ants and one black with the very big gasters and larger heart shaped heads.

Some close to a bit of bug protein, some close to a cotton plug and some over the heat cable or under the queen...

First hunt! I added approximately 20 live and killed flightless fruit flies. It was so much fun watching them hunt.

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

Ok I just uploaded a bunch of video and images on my imgur page. Check it out. Oh and I changed it from hidden to public so we’ll see what the world thinks. Measurements seem to match as well I missed this post of yours. Yes looks like them. That’s awesome! Anything that says “Pheido...

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

There are definitely a lot more experienced keepers on here and on other forums too (formiculture is great). Even still when you think about how many species there are, we all have tons...

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

Hi: I’m new at this hobby. Trying to absorb as much info as possible, but there is a lot to learn! My question: I have a Camponotus colony inside a split log in my yard. Exact species is unknown. I think I can capture much of the colony and hopefully the queen. I purchased the “complete Camponotus ...

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

Yeah they look close to the ants in the video you linked to CANant. Thanks for the info CAN. :D Could very well be, Idk, I looked on the ant wiki and it show that Pheidole megacephala are not found in my state. I found this ant in a log outside my home, so I just wonder how a ant from the other sid...
