I read it takes a while for crematogaster eggs to go to workers. But the workers have cool heart shaped gasters!

My parents were clearing out our garden and found a tetramorium ant colony, they said thousands of workers went outside of the nest. They saw some brood and put it in a plastic bag. Could this work?
If I put a worker in another test tube locked off by cotton taped to a tube with a queen in it over a few days/weeks will it gain her scent and think it’s part of the colony? So then I can put it into the queens tube so it’ll boost her by a bunch?

ID this queen please?
https://m.imgur.com/gallery/srnrN50 she was found on July 8th. It took a month and a half for her to get workers. Some of the workers heads are bigger than others and they’re the same generation. I think she’s tetramorium but I’m not good at IDing ants.

They ate their first mosquito! They loved it!! Also some of the nanitics are “riding” the queen around and getting off when they get somewhere else! Also we’re up to 11 workers!!
