Re: New queen, first of the season for me :D

Darn I'm kinda bummed now... I know it totally sucks, but luckily Socal is POPPIN when it comes to Gan Farmers so if all else fails you can get one through the Gan project. I'm also learning the hard way things don't always work out the way they should when antkeeping.. like when your queen leaves ...

Two gorgeous suspected Campo Queens Need ID

Hello, I caught these on May 4th and May 6th in Flagstaff Arizona in the woods. I found one in a dead, fallen over tree. I found the other one in my girlfriends cabin(in the bedroom to be exact). It was also great because I had just started vacuuming the floor and we were about to leave and go back ...

Oooo wee! Good stuff

Hello AC forum! Last weekend I ordered a Starter Gear pack as well as an extra test tube portal. Just arrived today(not my first time buying from AC) and they have these neat little boxes that everything came in as well as wrapped super well for protection. Came in a reasonable amount of time as wel...

Re: Web Domain Leading Away From AC Website

There is a web domain known as ww7.AntsCanada.com that has redirected me away from the actual www.AntsCanada.com domain I am looking for. It seems like this could turn people off of the company Thats odd, I followed that link and it took me to an error page on the AC website saying it couldn't be f...

Give me some good examples of carbs you feed your ants.. mostly because I don't see Human carbs the same as ant carbs.. like could I give my ants a tortilla chip and call that carbs? Could I give them bread and call that carbs? I feel like lots of hard processed foods they wo...

Re: Moving colonies help!

Good news, they moved without a hitch. However, when I found her one worker she was still in the test tube and covered in mold and couldn't move until I gave a tiny nudge with a cotton swab helped her out and she moved right into the founding formicarium. I know it's too early to be moving them but ...

Moving colonies help!

Hello, currently I have a Veromessor Pergandei queen (or desert harvester ant) that refuses to move into a founding formicarium I have attached to their test tube. One worker has recently eclosed and it doesn't seem to be doing much of anything and it's now around day three of it's life. They refuse...
