Just to complete the rest of information I have about her, here are the movies I did about her wandering in the dirt and housing herself inside.

Re: Messor Barbarus?
Thanks a lot Batspiderfish! That first queen ant I caught didn't come in the same batch of the other ones. So yes, good news, I may be keeping 2 types of ants now! Crematogaster and Messor  I still have some photographs of that first queen. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/LYn2ZP4h-QDxc-U4...

If we get stung by one of those we should seek medical attention, they are Ground Digger Wasps (Cicada Kill...

Messor Barbarus?
Hello guys! I recently caught a few queen ants. I asked AntsCanada what species it was and because I didn't provided enough info, he come up and said Crematogaster (the queen does look like a Crematogaster Cerasi). OoNbT4gYcpA but because I'm from Portugal (we don't have Crematogaster species based ...

Hello from Portugal
Greetings everyone, I'm from Portugal and AntsCanada youtube got me interested in having my own ant colony. Lucky me, it just happen to be nupcial flight of my local ant species. I've been recording my catch lately: OoNbT4gYcpA I think they are Messor Barbarus, based on my location, the major worker...
