The problem with firebrick is that it isn't very absorbent and that's one of it's traits that make it good for use in fireplaces, ovens, and BBQ's. You want the material to be semi absorbent that way it holds moisture in the nest for the ants and that allows the nest to stay moist longer. Ok thx :D

We go by the GAN listings, if there is only one listed then that the only option at this time. Best bet it to keep checking back to see if any more GAN Farmers have been added or you can Email AntsCanada at this page to inquire if there are any more Farmers in your area that may have not been liste...

Formica Fusca Questions

I have a formica fusca queen ant (i am pretty sure it is formica fusca) and I was wondering if it is semi or fully claustral. Also, I want to know if it is polygynous. Thanks and if there are any additional information about formica fusca ants then I would love to know! Thanks! :lol:
