Those are amazing shots! how did you get them? Also more importantly Myrmica are semi claustral . that means queens of this species need food for development . Have fun ! :D haha, thanks, the pics where good beauty wise, but pretty good at capturing the species I think. And ye I will have fun XD

Hi, just caught this ant queen under a tiny rock, did not see any visible eggs or pupae. I live in stockholm/central sweden, so northern europe. She is about 0.5 cm long My hopes is that she is an "acorn ant"/ temnothorax but I leave that up to you if she is or is not. I know she is a semi chlustera...

Lasius subumbratus is purely a North American species, but she is definitely from the umbratus group.
