Re: Is this f. neogagatus? Toronto, July 28 - 11mm

Thanks again Batspiderfish. I'm leaning toward subserecia.

CanadianAnter seems to catch a lot of those in Toronto. Haven't heard him mention argentea yet.

Re: Please help Identify- Toronto, July 11 - 9mm

Ah, thanks Batspiderfish. That's a shame, I don't have any workers for her :( I'll offer her to my fellow Toronto ant keepers in case anyone can help her.

Please help Identify- Toronto, July 11 - 9mm

Found this on my driveway. At first, wasn't even sure it was an ant, but looking at the closeup pictures, it appears to be. It seems an odd shape to be a worker, which makes me suspect it is a queen? It almost looks like there is a fungus growing on her. Can anyone identify what it is? Thanks, http:...

Hello,

Caught 9 of these queens in Montreal yesterday. Are they F. subsericea? They are 10mm and were caught between 1:30pm and 5:00pm in the afternoon.

Thanks,

Toronto July 18 - Is this Formica?

Hello,

I caught this queen tonight at around 5:30pm in Toronto on July 18. She is approx 11mm. I think this might be a Formica, but I have no idea what species. Can someone help identify her for me?
