Re: Identification

My first queen was a Linepithema humile. I only found 1 and she laid 6 eggs, ate them and then died. RIP. If you find 1 Linepithema humile alone, leave it be unless you also find workers for it, awesome people on the forums told me that, I just could not find any workers for her. I've just got lucky...

Found 6 queens in my pool :D

I saved 6 queens from my pool, they all have their wings. I know at least 2 are mated because I found them floating right next to the male. All of them are the same species. Found the first one at 1:30pm http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g342/i2chip/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-03/F18098E0-5D44-499E-81D2...

Re: My ants won't move in their new nest!

Thank you both for the quick responses! I thought there was maybe something wrong, I'll just wait for them to settle in a little longer.

My ants won't move in their new nest!

I moved my first queens and their workers into their omni nest and they won't explore it. They won't go into their out world to eat and I am worried they may starve. I left 4 fruit flies I got from PetSmart in the outworld, I also bought 12 crickets. Any help on getting them to eat or move would hel...

Earth Worms as Ant Food?

They are very easy to find where I live and I just got my first colony (Monomorium minimum) and I'm not sure if earth worms would be a good food for them or not. Thanks :D

Re: Another ID!

Well I'll keep them in a tube for now just to see if anything happens because of the poor camera quality, but I did find two dead queens in my pool, both different species  A lot of chlorine in there. I check often, but they're always dead.

Another ID!

I found these 'possible' queens walking around my pool in the backyard. (I'm not any good at IDing :? ) But I took the best pictures I could. (Those aren't the test tube setup I have for them just to be clear lol. I have something much cleaner for them, I was just holding them in acrylic tubes while...
