Appears to be Lasius sp, but would need closer photos to properly ID.This is not Monomorium because it is lacking a post petiole.

No clue, but my best guess is that you collected the worker by accident when collecting the queen. If I were you I would separate them.

I keep mine in a cabinet wrapped in aluminum foil, except for my P. imparis queens. I keep them in a pencil box in my basement since they prefer lower temperatures.

I found my Tetramorium queens at different times (all without wings). The first was at 7:00 A.M. yesterday, second at about 6:30 P.M. yesterday, and a third today at 9:15A.M.. I found all my P. imparis in April. They also sometimes fly in February and March. Unfortunately their are none flying right now, but I wish you the best of luck finding some next year. If you are looking for other currently flying species Tetramorium like Nathant had said are the ones to look for. ...
