Re: Help Please!

Theyre in separate tubes, just extremely angry at the cotton lol. I hope they calm down soon then, Ill try giving each some nutrition if it keeps up today. I really appreciate the advice!

Re: Help Please!

Thank you! Im really excited. However, should I be concerned about how aggressively they are pulling at the cotton? They do not seem happy at all to be in test tubes

Help Please!

Just caught 2 of the same kind of queen. I just want to know what type of camponotus they are, and they both seem to be very active...pulling at the cotton like crazy.

Are they claustral, and do they need to be separate?

Camponotus not accepting proteins

Hello all, My second camponotus colony has 7 workers and are in a test tube setup still with a small outworld for me to place food in. They havent been accepting protein since coming out of hibernation, but more than willingly accept honey. Is there a reason for this? I figured if theyre hungry they...

Re: Pavement ants larvae placement

I have a large tetramorium colony and they do this as well. I get to see their entire brood of eggs everyday, and I believe its because I have the sun shining through the window they are next too. They will place the eggs up against the glass on the warm side, even if there is sun shining on that pa...

Re: Update on Sad Story

She accepted honey, then I placed a tiny cricket in with her. I will post an update in a couple days as to if she even ate it or not, thank you!
