Springtails
I've ordered a culture of springtails for my tank, and I wanted to know if my carpenter ants would try to catch and eat them or if they would ignore them. I'm really hoping they try to catch and eat them.

Growth Rate
Back in September of last year I bought a camponotus floridanus queen with seven workers. I was under the impression that this colony grows extremely slow. Am I doing something right or did I get extremely lucky? Currently the colony is about 150 - 200 workers strong

Are these eggs okay
Sorry for only having one photo. This ant is a Solenopsis Invicta. I just want to make sure her eggs are still looking good. She laid these eggs I think it's been either 4 or 5 weeks ago. They appeared to be growing for a while. Now they just seem to be getting darker yellow though. Once again sorry...

Two new queens. Not sure if they're the same species
Okay, so I'm fairly certain both of these ants are Solenopsis Invicta. But I'm new to the hobby and it's throwing me for a loop. The one on the cotton ball is the one I'm like 100% sure is a Solenopsis Invicta but the one on the paper is about 1 maybe 2 MM larger than the other and has slightly diff...

Moving my queen
Hey guys I was wanting to know if it was a bad Idea, or just not recommended to move my new queen. I was told on the forums that she is a Solenopsis Invicta. I caught her about 4 days ago and last I checked hadn't started laying any eggs. She's in a test tube with a cotton ball with water absorbed i...

Re: Is this a queen or a hostage worker for the last two day
I'm assuming Queen and not a worker, or Is it wrong to assume?
Also Is the type of ant that fast when laying its first batch of eggs? Or does she need a little food? I can't remember what that's called. All she has right now is water in a cotton ball in a dark tube lol
