I caught 3 tetramorium with wings at around 7:45, is this too soon, or is this already after mating. None of them have taken of their wings, I caught them on Wednesday.

Social parasite queens
So I have recently caught 2 Lasius Umbratus queens and I am still waiting on adding host workers, in your opinion what is the best way to introduce some workers, thanks!

FINALLY after all these years, they have a name, the great drought is over! Thanks for letting me know, so they are different from the European species? I was so confused when I saw all the posts about Immigrans and I was like, “what?”, well thanks!

Yeah I tried that with the False honeypot ant in N.A. and I combined 4 queens, soon enough though one by one the queens started to die so either they sprayed each other or it seemed like the workers stopped feeding one of their least favorites. Pavement ant queens do that, I have kept many and they just sit there until they become workers, DO NOT flip her over as she may get stressed and eat all of her brood. I would only check on her once a week maximum as a stressed queen will eat her eggs. I like to just stare at the queens antenna to s...

You could connect the test tubes together and give them some time, do not forcibly put one with the other, this does not always work out even though they are polygynos so I advise you to keep them separate, I know it’s cool forming a big super colony but in most cases the strongest queen survives an...

Those are definitely queens, it’s just hard to tell how what genus they are, they look like they could be tetramorium, Formica, or camponatus, how big are they?
