Hi. About two weeks ago i boght some ants that came in the mail. They do hibernate sow therefor i putt them in my fridge at 12°C (53°F). Do messor barbarus sting?
Hi i am now going to rase a messor barbarus colony, but i don’t like stinging specis. I have heard that harvester ants are a number 3 on the insect sting pain index. Does that neans the messor barbarus or is it just the Pogonomyrmex badius?

Ye i hibernate my ants in a fridge and it seems to be all fine, but try to wrap them up in some aluminium foil, that will help keeping the temprature stable if u where to get an electical-hutdown or something like that

Ok, in one of my lasius niger testtube and one of my tetramorium ceaspitium testtube has the cotton turned black. Do anyone know why this may have happent and should i maby move them?
