Man I have the opposite problem. I find nothing but Tetramorium. 2 medium sized colonies and 2 fresh caught two days ago. Try rural areas or a bike path would be my recommendation.

Camponotus workers decapitated?
A couple days ago I checked on my Camponotus(Herculeanus I believe) and I saw there were a couple black things in their setup. Upon closer inspection I found that they were the heads of a couple workers, one being the head of one my first ever majors. What could have caused this? There doesn't seem ...

She's definitely of camponotus genus, but I'm not sure what kind. I'm guessing Pensilvanicus but I'd like some more knowledgeable opinions. She's about 23mm long, small hairs everywhere (that I didn't even see until I used my new macro lens), and pretty calm. Any help would be much appreciated, than...
