Camponotus Herculeanus or Pennsylvanicus

Caught in June in Ontario, CA, I know they are Camponotus based on queen size. Very pronounced grey or silver lines on gaster. Could be larvae. They take them back and continue to care for them.

I knew they couldn't go in a formicarium right away. (there is now 4 camponotus workers with more coming) I was also concerned about hurting them putting stuff directly into the tube so this is their current setup. red ant in ottawa ON

Caught this beauty this afternoon. 12mm. She is very red in the head and thorax areas with only a little black atop the thorax and dark gaster. Red is really bright in the sun. (she's not there now)
