Tetramroium caespitum to be exact. :)
Thanks I think you are right because their lifestyle meets with what I've observed and also the pictures seem to match, I've seen darker and lighter colored ones but not sure what that means, mine are rather on the light yellow side of the palette

Sadly (or probably not for them) they live in a naturalistic habitat so I have no way getting new pic...

Re: My new Ytong formicarium + outword

Re: where can I find ytong

You should look for alternatives, I can buy Ytong in 1 km from my home in EU but if you don't have supplier around I wouldn't order it from overseas because it's quite heavy and the shipping will cost a lot

Re: Baby ants!! What next??

Make sure to have a little gap for air to move in when taping together tubes, also solid protein food is only eatable by the brood of the ants so if you either low on brood or you want the workers/queen to get protein asap use feeder insects instead of fish food. Sugary/honey water works. You can st...

Re: Would this work as a founding chamber?

looks good to me tho I wouldn't make a "founding chamber" as a test tube setup is often the most perfect living area for them until 10-20 workers, when you could instead 3d print a formicarium for them from the material you'd use here Look up my posts for my 3d formicarium and if you like it I can g...
