I have a 10 worker (second generation) colony of iridomyrmex bicknelli. I have been feeding them a diet consisting of honey for the past 2 weeks. I was wondering when I should start feeding them protein?

I’m pretty sure they will eat ant sunburst nectar or honey. I think for proteins they will eat small things like flies or small bug pieces
