Hybernation preparation
How should i get my colonie out of the outworld for hybernation? Should i just let the workers in there and reunite them the next summer?

Hybernation help
My 2 year old messor barbarus colony is going to hybernate soon but i have no idea how to get them out of the outworld so they can fit in the fridge. Last year the were small enough so i could wait until no ant was in there but that's now impossible.

I found an ant queen.
I found this ant queen in the southern of france and i think its a carpenter ant but im not sure.

I have found 2 s. fugax queen last year and 1 layed eggs and they hatched their now up to a size of about 20-30 workers. Now i wanted to introduce the 2. one because s. fugax is poly. and put them together in a setup. The 2 queens are in different testtubes and today i found like 2-3 dead workers in...

Queen lets brood alone to drink.
My sloeonopsis fugax queen is letting her brood alone to drink on the other side of the test tube (picture below). The first test tube dried out during hybernation. It's been like this for about 2-3 days and i don't really know what I should do. Any ideas?
