I have no idea how to do this, but these look really cool, and I really want one, so I think we can work something out. :)

β€Ž 🐜 🐜 🐜 🐜 🐜 Hello Ant Enthusiasts !! My name is Opal - old as heck, they/them, way too excitable. I love ants, I love crocheting, & I decided to combine the two fixations. These are test tube cozies !! https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/896118973526057040/1037430170883199036/testtubecozy.png Th...

Re: High Humidity Ant Nest For Aphaenogaster

I am pretty sure I learned from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk3mzMrXk14&ab_channel=AntsVienna but I changed some thing after experimenting with it. How I usually know how wet to keep the nest wet is: Moister loving ants: about 10 ml a week. Not dry and not wet ants: 5 ml a week. Dry...

Re: Just 2 questions

1. How long would an AC ant tower small last a tetramorium colony from a test tube? 2. Can C. Novaeboracensis fit into an AC mini nest? Thank to anyone who has info :D An ant tower small will last until they need more room, then you can add more nesting space. No,it is not a good idea to put C. Nov...

Re: High Humidity Ant Nest For Aphaenogaster

I have used Plaster of Paris that works pretty well. Here is what one of mine looks like: https://photos.app.goo.gl/GQ3BLfp4Lu9XQhvN8 If you have any questions about how to build one send me a PM! Thanks! Seems pretty good and exactly what I was thinking of according to a video I found online: http...

Re: High Humidity Ant Nest For Aphaenogaster

I have recently found out that my species (Aphaenogaster Fulva) is a moisture loving type that prefers high humidity. I need some help with making a high moisture formacarium for Diana (That's her name) and her future workers. My original idea was to make an all in one formicarium (Link is at botto...

Re: Need Help

I did some research on this species after reading this post, and I found that it is actually a very interesting species (fully claustral incase you didn't know)! They make long foraging trails that last a long time and also they're very aggressive, spraying a noxious pheromone when aggravated, and t...

Probably Aphaenogaster fulva.
I recently found out that A. Lamellidens have their nuptial flight in early summer, so after some research, I found that it was A. Fulva and you were right all along. :)
