Ants escaping
I recently moved my tetramorium immigrans ants to my new house, but several of them escaped in the box. How can I put them back in their setup? Should I put them in another temporary setup?

Ant colony queen replacement
I know this is very late but a few days ago someone identified a queen I caught as a parasitic lasius species of some sort. As mentioned before I have another colony who is probably also a lasius species, could I replace their dead queen with this queen? Sorry if this is a really dumb question, I've...

Tetramorium in vertical formicarium
I've got a tetramorium colony who's been in an ac ant tower but they're not thriving. I've been super tempted to move them to another setup but not sure what the right one is. Would a vertical formicarium be any good? Since they're pavement ants they probably prefer flat horizontal nests like the on...

Re: Unkown (lasius?) queen dying
The queen is already curling up into the the typical dying position, but put her back in anyway. Reason why I separated them was because I though the queen was going to die right away, workers weren't feeding her via trophallaxis so seemed hopeless. If by tomorrow the queen is dead, would it be best...

Re: Unkown (lasius?) queen dying
Thanks again, but it’s probably too late. The queen is very weak, but workers seem healthy. I separated them and placed the queen in a clean test tube last night but there’s no improvement so far. I caught this queen early in spring and put her in a test tube. Usually, I feed the colony a small chun...
