Hi! Im looking for a good setup for a foundling lasius niger colony i will receive soon, does anyone have any reccomendations? I will be moving them into a tank once they are a bit bigger but for now I need a small setup for them.

Ok, so i really dont know what to feed my colony for protein. I did try meal worms and ants seemed to like, but we got rid of them because they went mouldy and had maggots in their jar (somehow) so i need a different easy source of protein to feed.

I have been keeping my Lasius niger colony for 2 months now, they started with 2 workers and now have 11. I keep seeing newly eclosed workers, but the next day when i check there is still only 11? Are ants dying and if so, why and where are they going?
