As I see it, the most remarkable color of the queen is the grey/silver gaster. The rest is predominantly black, maybe with a little bit of grey somewhere.

Hello together At the 3. of June, around 13:30-14:30 I witnessed a swarm flight in Zurich, Switzerland. I was able to find some queens and finally took two with me. I and a friend identified them as serviformica, but we are unsure what species. My guess is formica cinerea. Can you guys help me with ...

Thank you for your assessment! I released to lasius queen/s (found two more) again, since for my first ant colony I don't see myself with a parasitic queen

This is the only picture I have. I'm not sure if you can see enough to get an idea. After some research I think that they are lasius fuliginosus, which would not be fit for a test tube setup, right?
